so today I made my 91/3 and as you advised so wisely, I applied 1st for cash rewards card--instant approval $20,000 SL went and requested increase of $9,000 on my GoRewards, under review.
Funny thing, before I applied I took a look to see if Navy had any Pre-qual offers for me, just one the nRewards 🤣, figured what the heck let's try for real. Glad I did!
since my 11/23/20 account opening with Navy, I've been approved:
$1k Amex Hilton
$2,500 BBVA
$1,500 increase w/o asking Cap 1
$3,000 Navy GoRewards
ive been using the Go card as my driver with a balance as high as $2,800 highest but PIF until last month used it to put a down payment on a suv for my son, transferring $2,000 over to the new BBVA
So at app:
$300 in Navy Checking
$200 in Navy Savings
$2,000 of $2,500 balance BBVA
$800 of $3,000 balance Navy
Amex, Credit one $1,900, Cap1 all zero
Thank you thank you thank you! Spreading the love ❤️, Navy Love baby!!!
Congrats on the approvals! Huge SL! Beware on the CLI request they may only approve the max $4k "COVID CLI" rather than the $9k you requested, but here's hoping they approve the full amount! ![]()

Might fine job Capt! You hit em good on the CR card! Any word back from Navy yet on the CLI?
We're pulling for you!
+1 ^^^^^^^
Joined Navy at the end of November. Applied for cash rewards but was denied... didn't recon.
Then on 11/30, applied for auto refinance and was approved and have mad my first 3 payments on time and for more than the minimum.
Applied and approved for nRewards on 12/2. First statement was 12/19 and have PIF for January and February.
sorry if this has been asked and answered but didn't see an answer recently... just lots of pointers to the 1600-page thread dating back to 2014.
Thanks in advance!

- So is it 91 AND 3 FULL statements (which would put me at March 25th) or 91 OR 3 Full statements?
 - If you apply too soon, do they not even bother with the HP or do the HP regardless?
 - which CRA do I have to thaw? TU or EQ.

Short answer: AND
91 days and 3 Full statements. You'll need to wait for you March 25th statement.
You would receive a HP either way.
Thanks very much... now I can quit waiting for the calendar to rollover until Wednesday!
Hmm...I coulda sworn there was a FAQ on Navy CLIs on here but can't find it even after a lot of searching. If someone knows pls point me to it.
Anyways, I was approved for my second Navy card about 3 weeks ago. Now, I'd like to ask for a CLI on my first card which has never gotten a CLI ever. Since I'm within the 30 day window (or does navy do 60 days?) of a HP done on my credit report, will Navy require a new HP for the CLI or would they use the existing one?

To answer your question, CLI are soft pull if you request online or app. You may receive a HP if done with CSR. YEMV Your Experience May Vary.
Your first card was eligible for CLI at 91 days and 3 full statements from account open. Once CLI approved, you will be relegated to the 6 month interval.
Same goes for your 2nd card. CLI eligible at 91 days and 3 full statements from account open. Once CLI approved, you will be relegated to 6 month interval.
