Could be, but remember that an AR isn't a guarantee of not getting a HP, it only increases the chances of it not happening.
The only time I've ever requested a CLI from NFCU was a week after an AR, and it was still a HP.
(It was worth it, though.)
I understand it wasn't a guarantee; so last night, before conducting this experiment, I put all three credit bureaus on ice for the first time ever. About two hours after submitting the CLI request I got alerts from EX and TU that NFCU had attempted to pull my credit reports. Oddly I didn't get one from EQ.
My plan is if Navy contacts me to unlock my reports I'll just let the CLI request expire and resubmit another one after the AR/score update is posted to my account next week. Plus I'll have my reports unlocked just in case they want to pull them then. So far no word from Navy and my online account still shows the original credit limit.

Congrats on your approval.

CONGRATULATIONS!
NFCU's messaging seems to be a bit out of sync, though. About fifteen minutes after I got the text saying I've been approved, I got a secure message from them saying my application is in review. I sent them a message back asking them to clarify. Has that happened to anyone else?

You can call them if you want (or if you want details) but I've never seen a report of the text being wrong.
Congrats on the approval!
Thanks, good to know. I suppose it's just nerves - I'm always on tenterhooks after getting a card app approved, until I actually get the thing into my wallet.

Agree with the above...
When I got my Navy AMEX, it was instant approval for $25,000 but it did take 2 days to show up so don't be worried..
It will be all good.. Hang in there Joe.
@Anonymous wrote:My Cash Rewards card is now 105 days old and I'm anxiously counting down the days to the next AR so I can apply for a CLI. To kill the time I've spend several hours searching for mentions of the actual date when Navy performed an Account Review based on Equifax credit reports. For those curious I used the Google search term:
site:ficoforums.myfico.com nfcu OR "navy federal" +cli "ar" OR "account review"This turned up several pages of hits that I've read and was able to compile the following datapoints:
The pattern I noticed is that Navy does Account Reviews pulls from Equifax on the fourth Tuesday of even-numbered months then updates member accounts with EQ FICO 9 scores during the first week of the following (odd-numbered) month. Would someone who is a long-standing NFCU member with access to their EQ credit reports be able to confirm this observation?

Someone else already posted the date of the AR and when it would show up in this thread. I can't recall his name but he posted it. Maybe Uncle B remembers. If you have the patience to go back and read, it supports your hypothesis.
