I was denied a Navy Credit card and LOC in March immediately after joining. I have since improved my scores and have removed several collections. I want to apply for a Navy credit card and Navcheck today. What is the easiest Navy credit card to get approved for? And how many pulls do they do? Last time they pulled Transunion and Equifax.
In my experience, the TU pull was for membership. Since the CLOC and CC are two different departments, I would expect a HP for each, but fingers crossed they can do it with only one. When I applied for the CLOC, they pulled EQ and the CC will be EQ.
Good luck!!
Yes, a HP for each.

I think you are correct. I got 1 transunion HPs and 2 equifax HP. What credit card were you approved for and how much was your CLOC and CC limits? I am thinking my lates on my mortgage may hurt my chances of getting approved. So far I have 7 months of good payment history

I got approved for the nRewards card with an initial limit of $1k which was just bumped to $7.5k. They do indeed HP for each application regardless that they are doing them at the same time (one of the only things that stinks about NFCU). But the good news is, if you get your card, even with low initial limit, NFCU is one of the easiest and most generous banks to do CLI with. I refer you to the comprehensive Official NFCU CLI thread for info on the "Luv button" and how CLIs work with Navy Federal.
If you don't get approved, don't fret. I didn't get approved initially either but they have a great secured card option (nRewards secured card). You deposit a minimum of $500 into a special savings account (which gathers interest) and you get a credit card with $500 limit (or however much you put into the special savings account). They will report your activity to all 3 credit bureaus every month allowing you to rebuild your credit and after a year of on-time payments, they will automatically convert it to a normal nRewards card (unsecured) with no hard pull and you get your deposit back plus interest.

NFCU definitely does a hard pull for each application even if they are on the same day at the same time (one of the only things that isn't great about NFCU). They usually pull EQ but will also pull TU for any further verifications they may want. I wouldn't worry too much about the actual credit limits with NFCU. They are the easiest bank to do CLI with (and usually quite generous, too). I refer you to the comprehensive Official NFCU CLI thread. I had an initial limit of $1000 on my nRewards card which was just upped to $7.5k.
If you don't get approved, you could always get the nRewards Secured Card. You deposit cash ($500 minimum) into a special interest-earning account and they give you an nRewards card with the limit set to whatever you deposited into the special account. Every month, they report to all 3 credit bureaus allowing you to rebuild your credit. After 1 year of on time payments (and not missing any), and they will automatically convert the secured card to a normal credit card and give you your deposit back. After that, it's just a normal credit card. I did this to rebuild my credit and it worked amazingly. Just make sure you always pay on time.
2. but 1 might be EQ and 1 might be TU so at least they would be split.

Thanks guys! If my lates will hurt, what product should I apply for then? Should I even bother😞
When were the lates? on what?
Is HD, BJ's, and Lowes reporting already, because with those lines and cards I would be shocked not to get Navy.
I would apply for the Cashrewards card then depending on that approval and limit consider going for NavCheck.
