Need Advice!

First of all I want to say thank you to everyone on the forum I finally decided to join after day and night being on this website and fixing my credit. The journey is almost done but I need your help my peps!

I have one collection on my equifax account that is for $320 first finacial bank which is in dispute my fico on equifax is 560.

Transunion and experian are clean no bad accounts but my fico score is in the 500s on experian and transunion.

I have one tradeline for 10k reporting on only equifax with 0 balance.

I have one citi credit card with my mom reporting on all three for $6700 it is maxed out.

My brother is going to add me on his cards as well, one is a bank of america for $16,700 and one is a chase for $20,500

Now, My question is if I delete my name from the citi card thats maxed out for 6700 my score will go up and I apply for a card with 0 utillaztion around how much would i get approved for?

Welcome to the forums.

it is impossible for anyone to guess what credit limit you would receive.  First of all your scores are low.  If your scores are in the 500s, more than likely you won't be approved for any credit card.  You need to focus on why your scores are so low.  You say that you have been fixing your credit.  If so, what is keeping your scores so low?  Assuming your credit scores rise there still is no way to tell about credit limits.  Far too many variables like your income, age of credit history, what creditor, etc.  In your position you need to work on establishing positive trade lines and not so much on credit limits.  If you do that, in time bigger limits will come your way.

Re: Need Advice!

I'm not sure anyone can really answer that for you except the credit analyst for the CC you are applying for.

Re: Need Advice!

My score is low on experian and transunion because i have one tradeline for $6700 thats less than 1 years old and its maxed out. So thats why i want to remove my name from that tradeline add two with my brother thats 7 plus years old has almost no debt on it, my income is 72k a year. After I add those new tradelines and my score goes up too the 700s. Around what would my limit be on a credit card ball park is what I wanna know? If i have two tradelines one for 16,700 and one for 22k

Re: Need Advice!

The point I was trying to make is that I don't that anybody on these forums can tell you what your credit limits "might" be.  Especially without knowing the whole picture of your credit reports.  What other TL's?  AAoA?  Derogs?  Even with that, it would be a complete swag since every lender is different.  Some lenders are more generous and others much more conservative. Lenders take a lot more into consideration than just number that represents your score.

Re: Need Advice!

If i am you, with that credit score, i will remove the 6700, and add your brother's credit card, and hope that he keep his credit utilization low. Then i will wait 1-2 months until my scores are updated.
If the updated scores are below 600, i suggest to apply for at least 2 secured cards first.
If you apply for unsecured cards, i guess the limit will between 200-300.
If the updated scores are between 600-620, go ahead apply for unsecured card, the limit maybe below $500. Depends on which bank.

Bank of America and Capital One are offering some nice secured and unsecured cards.
