Need CreditAddicts Help on NFCU

So I appled for the goRewards visa for the bonus, got denied.  I send a sm to them about moving credit from my flagship visa to open up the goRewards card and they stated the following "Navy Federal does not reduce existing limits to allow new applications to be approved."  I have a flagship and cashrewards, both at a $22k limits, and I asked to move $2k from the flagship.

Do you think I'm at my max with them and that's why they are saying they won't move credit?

try calling... sending the secure message use to get you to smart people and then when I tried to get my 3rd I got a similar message and called in and got a guy that put the request right in... it's not even worth argueing if you get someone that "doesn't know" just hang up and call back shortly and try again... THEY DO IT!

I'd also move a full $20k to open the new card because once it happens you can get a cli back on the card you used to move the cl (the newest navy find!)

Yeah I'll have to call again. I got a girl from the lending deptartment and was like no we don't move credit to open new accounts.  I was like has the policy changed? She's like what policy?  I said moving credit around to open a new account.

So I should move $20k from one card to fund the new card, and then request a cli on the old card after the new card is opened?

So I called and they spoke to a sr lending officer and at this time the no longer move credit from one account to fund another account. I guess she said their policy had changed.

I'm assuming so. It was weird because she transferred me to the lending team and was like at this time we're not offering to move funds.

Re: Need CreditAddicts Help on NFCU

I also was informed that NFCU would not move around funds to open a new account BUT NFCU would allow a product CHANGE if I did not want to apply for the Flagship card.  I could close out any card of my choosing and they'd open the Flagship as a PRODUCT CHANGE.  Considering the bonus points were no longer offered for the Flagship I figured I'd wait until the same or a similar promotion came around again.  Trust me I tried so many reps it made my head spin, along with the private messaging.

Re: Need CreditAddicts Help on NFCU

Would the product change allow for any bonus promotions?

From my understanding "YES" as long as you meet all the requirements of the promotion as I was informed but I would double check with NFCU, as it seems they are making a few internal changes at the moment.
