Need advice for applying to next card as a student

Hi all, So just briefly about me:

19 y/o student, income about $20-25k (hard to say absolutes as I run an eBay business)

My scores are: 732 TU and a 746 equifax on CK and 750 on Discover

AAoA: 7 years (just the discover IT and an authorized user Citi ATT card)

Account age of Discover IT: 8 months

However these numbers confuse me as my Mint score shows a card that I am an authorized user on and it does not show on the Discover report

Mint says I have a 705. This is because of my high utilization as a result of the card I am an authorized user on.

The card that I am an authorized user on is often >90% utilization so I think that this brings my score down, however, Mint, which does show my avg account age including this card, says it is at 7 years. That card also has a much higher limit so my overall utilization is almost completely based on that card according to Mint.

I also recently applied for a Sapphire Preferred (churning) and was denied.

My questions:

Will removing myself from the card I am an authorized user on help or hurt my credit?

I am leaving the country soon and would like a card with valuable rewards and no foreign TX fees. I am interested in the Amazon Chase Visa (would be very good for me as I process thousands in amazon charges as part of my business) and the new Uber card. Are these attainable for me right now? Will my recent CSP denial now prevent me from getting another Chase card for a while? Would chase combine the pulls if I applied to the Amazon Visa now?

Your scores are pretty good, but Chase puts more weight in their own internal risk score. I know a couple of students on campus who have the Chase Amazon card. From what I’ve seen on the boards here, it seems to be one of their more relaxed offerings in terms of underwriting approvals BUT starting limits may not be what you’re hoping for. While AU cards can give a nice bump to AAoA, Chase likes to see your own ability to handle credit and 8 months may be right on the cusp. I’ve heard by others and been told in recon after a denial that they like to see a year+. As far as apps go, they will most likely pull a new report but won’t care about your last application. They care about number of accounts opened in the last two years and two accounts opened in the last 30 days with them.
