Okay. So DH and I were finalizing some plans last night for our Chicago vacation this summer. We do not vacation as much as I would like, so I am really looking forward to this. I was adding up the costs last night, and for the next few months, we will have quite a bit of spend. Being the way I am, I figured, "hey, why not benefit from that by meeting a spending bonus I may not normally be able to meet within a few months." Our big bills cannot go on cards, so I figured this would be a great opportunity. I also figured Venture may be good, because then I could use the bonus to nullify some of the vacation costs. Well, I was prequalified for the lowest APR, so I pulled the trigger. Lo and behold, I got the whole "we try to give decisions in 60 seconds, but we need a little longer" message. Any ideas where to go from here? Just wait? Call? I will be absolutely ill if I take three hits for nothing. Already got alerts for EQ and TU. I am just at a loss, because I did not think there would be an issue. Any advice or assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Just really kicking myself now and hoping for the best.
Oh, I forgot to post my stats for those on mobile: 1% UT
EX 730 (04/29/15) TU 727 (05/02/15) EQ 709 (05/05/16) Goal: 780 across the board
Amex Everyday: $25,000 | Chase Hyatt: $12,000 | Discover IT: $11,700 | Barclay Ring $7,500 | Cap 1 Quicksilver: $7,750 | CareCredit: $5,000 | Amazon Synch: $5,000 | Walmart Synch: $3,300
any baddies on your reports? also do you know what your reported utilization is, roughly?
with your scores, assuming everything else is in order I'm sure they will approve you.
CapitalOne insta-approved me for a 3k Quicksilver Visa last summer when my reports were still ugly and scores were mid-600's.... they are very lenient.

I am at 1% reported UT. I think my EQ has an old $177 medical collection from 2009 that is about to drop off, but everything else is super clean.
It could be verification. Others poster have had this issue when applying and it turns out they was approved. I wish you the best luck.
Thank you everyone for your advice and experience. Much appreciated. I will call on Tuesday. Thank you for that phone number. I will update with the results.
Does anyone think there could be any benefit to just letting it work its way through the system rather than calling? Or have I read too many threads about Chase situations and have gotten a bit paranoid?
