So my DW's EX score right now is 749. She's currently at 27% UT, though that should drop to about half that by next month once my new cards show up as AUs on her report.
She has 1 medical collection from mid-2012, and a couple of 30d missed payments (same card) about a year ago.
Oldest acct is 21.6 yrs and AAoA is 10.5 yrs.
How badly will the negatives affect application decisions for new cards, depsite her pretty good credit score, and possibly better by next month?

Can you explain what you mean by "same card"? How are her inq's and what other cards and limits does she have? That would say a lot about her approval odds and limits. Any specific card she has her eyes on?

I will take a shot in the dark and take this to mean she was 30 days late more than one time on one particular card. To OP, who can say for sure if this will affect her negatively, her score is more than decent and it may depend on what she plans on applying for, if anything, if was denied she may have a good shot explaining herself in a recon attempt.

By same card I mean that both 30d missed payments were for her Macy's card (we had an issue with scheduled payments).

What is the limit on the Choice vs card, and how many new accounts in the last 12 months?
No limit on the Choice. It was closed years ago by us when they gave us the option of having the interest rate jacked up or closing the card. Before the close the limit was $24K.
New accounts: Chase Amazon in December 2015. Mortgage refi BoA August 2015.

Almost looks like they might be BC on that Choice card, which is probably hurting more than anything else
How how is hat card showing, does it show the old CL with 0 available credit, or does it show a $8500 ish CL?

Just making sure, the Choice is closed but you have a balance on it?
I think in this case, her scores are good and not too many inq's, not too many new accounts, not high uti, so i think she should be good for just about any card she wants to app for. I am sure there will be more people to chime in, as to what cars would be better for her to do the BT. You would need at least a $10K approval to transfer almost $9K and have a little bit of limit left. If cap one Venture has a BT offer, that would be a good card as they givi generous SL's on that card.

Yes it is closed, with a balance. Report shows:
Back a number of years ago, some laws changed about CC companies raising the interest rates. I don't remember the particulars but we had the option to keep our rate and close the card, or keep it open but get a much higher rate. We chose the former.

Yeah a high SL is the one thing I am guessing will be hard to get. Though even it it's $5k, that will reduce our interest by more than half, and I will then try for a 0% interest card with a BT fee. Hate to pay the fee. I am on a mission to both reduce our debt, reduce the interest while we pay it off, and reduce our monthly required payments to allow us to build a savings safety and focus the payments where it counts.
