You might want to look at BCE and EDP. Unless you're a big spender and want the luxuries, Platinum should be avoided.
Just my views.
Im approved for the Platinum also, however, I must take into consideration the spend I must put down to recieve those 100k MR points. My offer was 25k in three months. Yes, I can do that.
What was your offer?

My primary use for the platinum would just be the benefits, after reaching the minimum spend it would make the most sense to put most spending through the PRG at restaurants and the EDP for groceries and all other transactions to reach the 30 transactions needed to recieve the 50% bonus. I do take about 2 flights per month, and my mom does travel internationally rather frequently so she may put some flights through the card as an AU to get the points, apart from that the benefits are what’s most enticing.
If anything I may apply to both the platinum and EDP around September if the offers are decent which is when I’m away at uni and do most of my spending.

That’s for the business platinum I believe; right now I see 75k MR points for a 5k spend in 3 months in incognito mode. Would like to find a way to get 100k with the same spend before I even consider applying though.

Just checking...if these are your criteria, did you look at Chase or Citi products? Also, how about Amex Delta cards? Nothing against Amex but Visa and MasterCard are better accepted outside USA.
How much and where do shop at the market? Dw and I use BCP and max out the 6% grocery and then also use it for the 3% gas

I have considered the CSP; but don’t see much from Citi that I would prefer over the Amex cards I’m considering. Only problem with the CSP is that I strongly doubt Chase would be willing to approve me given my limited history (plus the rewards categories on the CSP overlap with the PRG so it seems unnecessary to be paying nearly $300 in AF combined for virtually the same card). Amex on the other hand doesn’t seem to worry about my thin file, and might approve me via SP which would be a nice little plus.

Primarily Whole Foods. Between February and May I spent around $2k in supermarkets; I’ll probably reach the 6k limit within 12 months without too much of an issue lol. The BCP seems like a great card for groceries but frankly I rather accumulate the MR points as opposed to cash back, especially if I can get 4.5/$1 with the EDP.
