Next card?

Love this forum! I've received so much knowledge from the community. Thanks!

I've been in the garden for nearly 6 months so I've got a decision to make: should I continue to garden or apply for a new card, and if so, which one? I'll 3x my BCE soon and let it post first.

Thin, clean file. 735ex/750tu, low inqs
CFU 1y4m 1k
BCE 10m 6k
Chase Amazon 6m (500)

I've been thinking about a couple options:
Cold app CSP (no offers)
Chase Ink Unlimited (great bonus)
PRG (rather have the CSP)
Keep on gardening...

I've had my eye on the CSP for a while but I know credit rewards patience. Ideally I hit the CSP now then get the Ink Unlimited in 6 months but I'm not sure that's likely with my thin file.

Re: Next card?

Well, you don't have anything approaching a $5K CL - and that is a minimum CSP SL. I would grow the BCE over $5K before trying that. I would also wait until you get something over 2 years old before going for anymore. You would still be getting toy limits if you don't.

Sorry, I thought you meant it would be 6K, not 18K. Chase might go for it, I don't know for sure. Even if they don't, make sure you stay under 5/24 or you will never get it. Maybe wait for the green checkmark?

Re: Next card?

Ah, got it. I've never received an offer from Chase and I don't expect to.

A year from now, I'd love to have a 15k CSR and one of the biz cards. It's obviously better to wait but if I can get the CSP soon I'd use it.

Re: Next card?

If I were in your position, I'd 3x CLI the BCE card as soon as you're able to, then apply for the PRG. Unless your report has any negatives or you have a bad relationship with Amex, you should probably be approved as they are pretty good at approving existing customers who've waited a few months. Check their prequal tool before you apply.

Re: Next card?

I will 3x in the next day or two

Ive been prequaled for the PRG for months along with several other Amex cards but I would prefer the CSP so I may app the CSP and if denied go for the prg
