I bet if you cold app'd for the upgraded cards you'd get approved with much higher limits.

If I cold app for the upgraded cards would I miss out on the bonuses bc I have the upgraded versions of them now?

Yes because you've already had the product. You would have to downgrade and upgrade again for any bonus in the future.

Ugh that sounds like a lot lol 🥲

Re: No CLI, No New Cards No Problem

Hey, it's a lesson learned.

I Ifor example had two low limit cards with Amex,   Hhonors $1,800.  Everyday $1,00.00.   It would have just taken two long to get these cards to any useable limits.. so I closed them.

My next card with Amex had a $20,000.00 limit.

I've learned that before I make any credit moves, to just run my scenario past the forums to get insight and user experiences.

Isn't that $20k limit on an Amex Platinum that ultimately got shut down the same month that it was opened?  And then you applied for a BBP after and was only approved for $2k @tparks5961?  If so, the Platinum is a NPSL, unless given an actual hard limit due to AA.

Nah, it's the blue business cash card. It's still open.

My platinum card still has a hard limit of $45,000.00.  In the past , it had a limit of $2,000.00 and I've successfully raised it to 45 over the past year.

Hard limit of $45k?  I thought Amex charge cards only get hard limits from adverse actions.
