I think Discover can be stingy. I have scores over 750 with 10% Util and I put thousands of spend onto my $6000 card (PIF) since I've had it and was given only a $500 CLI after 3 months (after a 2 day review), and I've been immediately DENIED every attempt since. So looking to Discover for increases is barking up the wrong tree. And if you have low scores and high utilization, it's even more of an uphill battle. So I wish I could tell you to charge it up and PIF all month every month and get your score up and util down and you would get your CLI....BUT... I can't say that.
Keep up the battle, never give up. But focus your gardening elsewhere. Get that util down and scores up and get other better cards that will grow. Nevermind Discover.

$4000!!? holy moly

Was this 730 score a recent change, looking at your signatures, it does not seem updated. You should check if they are pulling an old score as that may also be a factor that lead to your request getting denied. I'd wait for one whole cycle and keep your utilization low and allow the new scores to report before you hit the CLI button.
You know this is an interesting thread. Discover can put you in a "box" as can other creditors and sometimes the box isn't a good one. (Speaking from experience here.
) Just a thought that you may not want to do, but I might really consider calling and telling them your situation. Tell them you are a law student prepping for exams. Good luck!
Its roughly 1000$ to take the Mass Bar exam on a computer.. bout 895 for the test, 900 total for using the computer and about 100$ for the software. Just asked a friend who proctors the exam here....

In regards to the Bar pricing comments, I bought a Barbri review course. I havent even paid for the actual exam yet hahahaha.
I think you're right about calling. I'll heal my rejection, pay off my review, and dial away. Can't hurt!
Thank you guys so much!
