Nordstrom retail card question

Hello
I applied for a Nordstrom retail card yesterday and was told to call in which I did. The rep said I needed to send in a copy of my Drivers License and utility bill which I sent out today. Just curious who has done all of this and ended up being denied? I don't even care if it's a small limit I'm really hoping I get this card☺️

sometimes they will ask this, and its completely random. But, i dont think they would go to that trouble of asking you for the documents if its not gonna be an approval. fingers crossed!

Did you apply online or in store?  Have you ever had credit before?  Have you ever pulled your own credit bureau reports before?

This sort of documentation request is usually only required for new credit or folx who live in areas identified as being sources of fraud.

Don't worry. The same happened to me too, and I just got my Nordstrom card yesterday.

Actutally one week after I mailed the documents to them, I received a letter from them saying I was denied due to "unable to verify information". I called them and the rep said I was approved and my card should arrived in 7-10 business days.

I think they wouldn't bother you to send the documents if you were not qualified.

When I applied, I was approved immediately, but my friend applied right after I did from my computer at work and she had the same thing happen.....they just had her send the items in for verification purposes. She was approved and got her card in like 2 weeks.

I applied about a month ago online and saw a fiicker of  the approval on the screen and then a pop up saying call them.  I called and they asked for DL and UT bill.  I sent it and checked back about two days after delivery (I tracked the mail) and they said I was approved and my card arrived within 7 days.  This has happened with almost all my apps recently.

This happened to me when I applied in store. The CSR keyed in my address wrong but it was eventually approved. Nordstrom seems to be a real stickler with verifications. Goodluck and keep us posted!

Thank you everyone for the responses. I wish I would have sent the information priority mail. They haven't recieved my info yet so I'm still waiting. Fingers crossed ☺️

That's good info to know. May I ask what kind of limit they gave you?
