UGH, I called that number 800-869-1496 and the CSR told me I have been denied and a 7-10 letter is in the mail.
I asked to recon and so she connected me to the underwriting dept.
2nd woman was very nice and specifically asked me who I spoke to in the other dept and I said I don't know. . . some woman (I was not taking notes - sigh)
Anyway, she pulls up my record and told me that my application was received AND it is NOT denied -- "It is being procesed" and will not send me a decision - either yay nor nay for another 3-5 days. I'm like ARE YOU SURE I AM NOT DENIED? She said yes, it is not denied - which is so weird why she asked me who told me I was denied? It's as if the right hand is not talking to the left hand. They must be overwhelmed OR they have no clue how to processs credit card apps.
I'm not very optimistic at this point and would be shocked if a credit card even shows up in my mailbox next week or so.
Has anyone experienced this scenario besides me?
