Hi Community,
I was planning to do an app soon for a card since I'll have some things that will allow me to easily meet the SUB (holidays, moving, etc). I'm planning to app for the CSP but I want to know what my odds are. I'd be curious as well if I had any chance with Venture X with my stats.
EX 733/EQ 721/TU 731
67k annual income
Amex BCE - 01/2018 - 6k SL - 5% utilization
Amex Hilton - 07/2018 - 1k SL - 1% utilization
Amex Delta Blue - 12/2019 - 8k SL - last reported at 40% but currently at 21%*
BofA Travel Rewards - 01/2018 - 2k SL - 0% utilization
Amazon Store card - 03/2022 - 1.5k SL - 1% utilization
Chase Freedom Unlimited - 09/2022 - 7k SL - 5% utilization
Currently banking with Chase and CapOne
Have you tried the Capital One prequalifier? If you're preapproved for the Venture I'd apply for the Venture X. Your file is a little thin but Cap One may surprise you with a 10k limit. If you want better odds try to get your utilisation down and only on one card.
I ran it a few weeks ago even before some changes (CLI on one line for example) and I definitely got a Venture pre-qualification.
I would maybe wait til the AMEX Delta Blue card balance is updated on your reports with the lower utilization for a few more points but even then your credit reports look to be in good standing to get either card in my opinion
Since you bank with Chase did you check to see if you had any pre-qualified offers? The CSP might be there waiting for you already
You have a good chance of getting it, GO FOR IT !
I believe your relationship with Chase makes it very likely you'll qualify for the CSP. Venture X is hit or miss.
Thanks for the insights, y'all!
While I didn't have any pre-quals in my Chase account (under the "just for you" section or on the credit card page), I ended up going into the branch near my office this morning, asked if I had any offers and CSP was one of them! Approved with a $12.8k SL.
As the OP has indicated they've been approved, this thread is now locked and closed to new messages.
Congrats on the approval @jaybird14 and welcome to the forums.
