Odds for Uber Visa?

Transunion - 709

7 Inquries on TU. 2 in last 6 months, 4 in last 12 months

I have 13% utilization across all cards. Also, I have opened 6 new accounts this year so far (only 5 have reported however).

I have late payments on student loans in the past but I have currently been on time for almost 3 years now.

The only other Barclay card I have is the Barclay Aviator (white) which I just recently Downgraded. I would love to transfer that limit over to the Uber, if approved, then close it.

Do I have a good chance of approval or would it be beneficial if I hold off?

Re: Odds for Uber Visa?

I would say a very good chance also considering you have a relationship with them too.

Five new accounts during the first half of the year could be pushing it, but if the cards aren't being used heavily, you will likely be approved.  Barclay may ask you to transfer some of the credit line from the first account.

I was going to garden... Honest!

That could be the deal-breaker for them OP.  If declined, you could contact the backdoor # for reconsideration and see if that yields anything.

I would say go for it. The new accounts...meh. As long as you had your accounts with them in good standing. If denial, you can move CLs around to open it.

That’s what I’m worried about which is why I’ve been skeptical of apping. So are u saying as long as u have accounts with them in good standing, you can get card approved by simply moving your other CL over?

Even though this card only provides an extra 1% on dining over my Savor, It will atleast allow me to get rid of the useless Aviator (only got for SUB) for something a lot more useful. It also would allow me to preserve my Aviators CL.

That is what i had to do.  When i called to verify, the rep asked me to move credit lines around to open the Uber card.

I was denied for too many new accounts (had like 5 this year at time of applying). Tried to recon but no dice. Rep said apply again when accounts age a bit and I said ok and hung up.

I won’t be applying again so it doesn’t matter. Only really wanted card to get rid of my useless aviator (no fee) while preserving its CL.
