From my personal experience you cannot upgrade from any charge card to another card with higher AF in same category within 13 months of the card being open. It's not AMEX rules it's the Card Act.
Thanks for the info. Why in the world would i want 2 charge cards. im baffled as to why they would even give me this offer. in fact. i really don't need a 3rd amex period. maybe in the future. i will get rid of the green card. before the AF hits. and go with another revolver. my delta is fine . as i fly delta only anyway. and you get lots of miles if you buy delta everything. even a soda. 
did not know card act says can't upgrade for same kind of card. hmmm.

Got it too.......have the green card already and AU on ED card.....they won't let me have my own revolver though. I took the bait to upgrade my Green to the PRG but called and backed out earlier this month I think or was it last month
