I think that's probably the best value for 1 little point you could possibly ask for! Wow, I'm hoping I get as lucky as you did with their generosity. $40k in 3 months would be awsome, but $40-something on one card now would be MIND-BLOWING!
Amazing how NFCU makes you feel like you won the lotto just by giving you credit you have to pay back!
Is it normal for NFCU to SP within 2 months...they sp'd me on 7/2 and again on 9/2.
So I need some advice.
I have two credit cards from NFCU that are now at 100% utilization. Both have credit limits of 15K. I was given credit increases last December on both that took them from 10-K to 15K.
right now I'm really trying to pay these cards down and get my credit back on track. I want to know would it be worth it to request an increase on both to lessen my total utilization while I'm trying to pay them down? My ficus are 596 eq 611tu and 589ex. Any advice?

CAPITAL NO! (sorry, navy is giving but $30k 100% maxed looks like you are drowning and more credit is only going to push you over the edge) your lucky that it's navy and they rarely take adverse action against credit they have given because a 596 doesn't qualify for $30k even on a good day with navy... the only thing you can do is call and see if you would qualify for lower APR's, you can do that once a year per account with no credit pull... maybe that would help pay things down faster.
I got turned down for a recon on increasing my 2nd new CL stuck with $5k on that one. Hoping in 3 months I can get some luv button luck and get a bump close to the $20k on my Flagship
