Uncle have you called? Usually within day if you don't see it, it's declined
Nah, I'm not going to bother. I figured if I didn't see something within a few hours that was a bad sign as well.
I did submit the request late on a Sunday, though, so maybe there's still a chance I could get good news early Tuesday?
I'm actually OK in either case. My current credit line is already a generous $15.3k, and is plenty for my modest needs. I probably shouldn't have messed with them to begin with.
That being said, my one-year anniversary will be in a couple of months (November 13), and I still plan on hitting them up for an APR reduction. While a CLI on this account is just cosmetic (for me), an APR reduction would make a difference for those occasions I use them to carry a balance for a couple of months.

Yeah I have only had 1 apt reduction out of my 3 accoubts by request but oc with apr reduction I have been successful with!
+1
While the rate I have now isn't horrible (11.24%) I honestly will be a bit disappointed if they don't at least shave a point or two off when the time comes.
(Sidenote: I just double-checked my online account/profile and my credit line is the same, but I don't have any new messages from them either. I had assumed I would get a message in the message center when the request was processed?)

Nope... No messages
Hmm. That's interesting.
In any case I'll let it slide. Since they probably did a HP at least I'll get to take a glimps at my 'real' report, for what it's worth.
Assuming it was turned down I'll also be interested to see what reasons the letter will state. It's either an issue with too many new accounts or lack of use on the existing credit line... my score is 40+ points higher than when I was approved last fall, and my overall utilization is lower as well (4%).
All that being said, I'm not 'mad' at them by any means... I'm still very happy with my account, and with NFCU in general.
Is lack of use of existing credit line a potential issue with NFCU CLI's? I thought I had read of people getting CLI's with very little use of their NFCU card.
CA or anyone else who may have insights, please respond. Thanks!
Wait!! are you guys saying that after 1 yr you can approach NFCU for a APR reductions?!!!
OMG!!!! Wow!! I didn't know that.. Thanks so much for that piece of information.. I'm going on 2 yrs I think.. so how do I go about initiating the request?
