Hmm.  That's interesting.  Smiley Indifferent

In any case I'll let it slide.  Since they probably did a HP at least I'll get to take a glimps at my 'real' report, for what it's worth.

Assuming it was turned down I'll also be interested to see what reasons the letter will state.  It's either an issue with too many new accounts or lack of use on the existing credit line... my score is 40+ points higher than when I was approved last fall, and my overall utilization is lower as well (4%).

All that being said, I'm not 'mad' at them by any means... I'm still very happy with my account, and with NFCU in general.  Smiley Happy

Update:  I checked my account today (Tuesday) and my credit line is now $20k.  I'm a happy camper!  Smiley Very Happy

They must have read my mind... had I not used the 'maximum' button $20k is actually what I would have entered, since that's the limit on my Sam's MC and Lowe's (that seems like the 'sweet spot' for credit limits for me - any more would be redundant).

I know it was likely a HP, but going from $15.3k to $20k was worth it to me (especially since I'll never have to bother with a CLI again... seriously.)

Thanks again to CA for the assist!

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

That's great!! I too went from $17k to $20k but lucky for me I had no HP which is super awesome because I need no more of those on my report.. I think I'm going to win the trophy of the most inquiries in someone's credit report Smiley Surprised

Have a wonderful day.

Yay congrats UncleB 😊 and to everyone else , so there is no figuring Navy Fed out , we thought if you had not seen an increase within 24 hrs of getting the review then it was most likely denied , this goes to show that is not the case . Sometimes it may take longer .

Is lack of use of existing credit line a potential issue with NFCU CLI's? I thought I had read of people getting CLI's with very little use of their NFCU card.

CA or anyone else who may have insights, please respond. Thanks!

bump - thanks

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

I have a question ...

Does Navy Fed give auto increases without me having to stalk my CR soft pulls? Has anyone just logged in and Voila! CLI. I have yet to see this occur but I could be missing something from that last 531 pages. Lol

I've seen a few people report this, but generally when their accounts are 2+ years old and with high FICO scores in addition.

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

Fabucredit I have read of several ppl on here where they were given auto cli after one year anniversaries, I also heard that you have to call.around that time to ask the CSR in credit dept to check the box next to auto increase. Not sure just what I have read from others .
