I totally agree... I have a feeling it's really something else, but they tell you its income. I have only been with them a month so maybe that was a factor... This will be my highest CL too so maybe they are nervous because I dont have other big CL to compare to?

I agree 100% with CA. Your denial had nothing to do with your income and everything to do with a low credit score of 641. NFCU still gave you $5K, which is a testament to how giving they are.
^^ Which is understandable, my only question is why the secrecy then? If you just want to see a certain score , that could be stated instead of listing a reason that has nothing to do with the real reason. It would be much more helpful to people trying to build/rebuild their credit if they were honest that way we can work on the real problem instead of having people think they need to make $300K+ a year.
Anywho, I still really like them and appreciate the opportunity to grow with them and I just wanted to add a data point since there are many of us ith a 600-something score who are trying to improve.
They denied my navcheck and my cli on my cashrewards because of "bankruptcy" ... It's kinda odd
