So I guess my next question is, what led to them unsecuring the card after only a few months? I thought you had to have the card in good standing for a year before they would think about unsecuring it. Is it worth it for me to try again for a CLI on recon? I'm just looking for like a 4 or 5K bump on the other card and they already extended me another 1500.
Also, can I PC this nRewards to a Cash Rewards? I'd probably use this card again if it were a Cash Rewards. Thanks
Whoa, wait.. How long did you have the secured card for?
My secured nRewards card was unsecured the day after my 5th statement hit. I had put down a deposit of 600 dollars. When it was unsecured my credit limit was upped to 2,000 dollars. Then the day after that I went for it and tried for the max automated CLI and my limit was raised to 17,500.
The first month or two, I was putting several thousad dollars a month on the secured card and paying it off in full multiple times a month. My scores rose quite a bit from that and I then was approved for a Go Rewards card with a 3,500 limit. Used that heavily and PIF each month and my scores rose even more. Basically, when I started w/ NFCU, my scores were in the low 500's, I had basaically just stopped using credit for a couple of years. They did a hard pull on me with a 685 EQ score the day before they unsecured the card last week or whenever because I had requested a CLI on my Go Rewards card.

That's awesome!!! You are the first person I have seen graduated prior to the 12th statement. Congratulations
Hi...my last AR i sawon my EQ report was 8/30/16....still havent seen another one! is this normal? when do you think I will see another one?
I tried on the 19th and was denied with hp, should i try again on the 1st? maybe itll be a sp??
I'm sorry to say I don't get to play this time around... I hit the button after the last AR, took a HP anyway, but ended up with a $4.7k CLI that put me at my goal of $20k. (Since I'm now at my goal credit line the HP was worth it.)
I'm quite pleased with $20k, but before anybody suggests I go back again the AA letter I got suggested I'm likely at the max for my income... so no 'poking the bear' for me.
I'll live vicariously though the rest of you, though, cheering from the sidelines!
(My one year anniversary is in a couple of weeks; wish me luck for an APR reduction!)
