I didn't get an answer either. I had to inquire via chat.

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

Does anyone know how much income factors into total credit line.

I have 2 cards. Cash rewards 21500 (opened April 2015) and go rewards 15000 (opened May 2016).

My income in around 75000.

My fico 8 eq is 699. Not sure of eq04.

Want to take a shot at 25K on each but just curious if anyone has similar income and scores and reached 25k yet.

you should be fine. They issued loans and lines that exceeded income I have seen.

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

Hello,

I am new to the forum...brief history of myself...made bad decisions while in college and got random credit cards for the free gifts (pathethic...I know!). Credit score with down due to non/late payments. In 2009 I purchased a home and my credit score was in the mid 600's. After that time, lost job and household income decreased and I had to start choosing what needed to be paid. Long story short. my credit suffered again. In March 2016, I wanted to get a new vehicle and I was so embarrased because my my score was in the low low 500's. This was an eye opener for me and it caused me to really examine my financial situation. In May, I applied for a Discover It (Secured) and was approved. I have your typcially high risk credit cards...Merrick Bank, Capital One, Total, etc. According to Credit Karma, my Transunion is 559 and my Equifax is 561. According to Discover and Merrick , my Transunion is 596 and 594. I think Discover and Merrick represent my true Fico scores. My score is steadily increasing a few points every month and I am just trying to make sure that I pay my bills on time but I know my credit cards have high utilization. I came across this Official NFCU and I became curious. I tried to read the whole thread, but it is over 500 pages! So to my understanding, it is a hard pull when you open up savings/checking account? After you are approved for an account, do you think I have a chance to get approved for one of their credit cards? Do I need to have at least a 600 score?

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

Yes, it's a hard Transunion pull for membership and a second hard pull usually on TU (a few people get EQ pulled instead of TU) for any credit card. EQ hard pull for CLOC/NavCheck, but they also sometimes double pull TU and EQ on some people on the CLOC application.

I would wait to apply to become a member until you're at least a 600 TU score and apply for CC at 620+ TU score.

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

@Aduke - I checked via chat 24hrs later. I read somewhere that they don't do manual reviews on Saturdays. So today would be the day you would have an answer. I would reach out via chat to check the status.
