anything over $25 is hp and id go back and ask for more since it's manual review over $25k
Hit the Luv button again, or must I call?
I got the 3-5 day wait message. I asked for $27K

HP... yes you can request again right online.... I would go back and request $40k and submit 2 paystubs at same time online... you will get counter back on Monday most likely if not full amount (depending how much you make)

Hello!
I have read a lot of this, but I have a few questions.
I just opened my NFCU account and applied for my CC the same day. I was instantly approved and given a $1500 limit. I credit score according to Credit Karma was 577. It dropped 12 points when 2 HPs from NFCU came through (for the account and for the CC) so I said screw it and I apped for a goRewards because I didn't really care. They gave me 3-5 and I finally got a letter stating that I was denied (which I expected) but that they couldn't get my credit report from TU, which I thought was weird because that's what CK's data is from. I haven't gotten another HP from them, but my score DID go back up to 577. Any idea what that's about?
Also, my OH got a card from them about 7 months ago. About a month ago, he requested CLI to $25k (after finding this thread!) and got countered (yay for SP!) for 1500. So he went from $500 to $2k. That JUST hit CK and bumped his credit 24 points to 632 (his utilization was about 50% and is now way less so that helped). We are thinking of apping for another card for him...do you think he'd get an instant or a HP? We don't want to drop his credit any, as he is trying to get a new job that does credit checks, but we are now obsessed with watching the numbers crawl up (and we are itching to hit that button again, but patiently waiting!)!
These are completely separate accounts, btw. We also have considered making each other authorized users on the others card. That will bump us up a little too, won't it?
TIA! ~

1. it will be a hp if you apply for 2nd card and you will most likely be denied and would have to split your $2k line in half to open the 2nd card.
2. employer checks for credit do not give a score usually... it's more about what's on the credit.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU! May the force be with you!
Thanks! We'll wait then. What does it take to get approved for a second, then?
The job requires him to lease a truck, so they do get the score. Last time he tried a couple of years ago they told him it had to be at least 600.
Any idea about the authorized user thing? I am finding mixed reviews on google.
