Old Navy offered me card, then 7-10 message

I was getting ready to buy something on OldNavy.com, and it offered me a credit card. Then when I applied, it gave me the 7-10 day message. (BTW, I was surprised to be offered one, because I wasn't even trying to do the shopping cart trick. I didn't even know Old Navy did that). Is the 7-10 day message an automatic denial? (If this matters, I'm signed up on the Old Navy website with my nickname, and that's what they offered me the card in. When I filled out the application, I put in my real first name. Could that be why they denied me?

I had the same thing happened to me today! Except I did get the instant appproval. Did you eventually get the card? I have shopped at Old Navy online before and didn't get a preapproval but I have had a recent jump in my credit score (from a collection coming off l, 612 to 663) so I don't know if that had something to do with it. But I was so shocked to see the preapproval! I accepted it. I have quite a few inquiries (15), but only one synchrony card (Walmart ). I always keep it well below 30%, did that help me to get a preapproval? only other synchrony cards I would be interested in are JCPenney and Amazon. I wonder if the same thing would happen? Btw they asked for my whole Social Security number but I have not gottten an alert that my credit was pulled yet. I think it was a soft pull. I usually get an alert instantly. Anyway I just wanted to share!

Usually a 7-10 day message is not a denial, but I don't know about Old Navy. You can always call and check the status of your application. Good luck.

I didn't know Syncb did preapprovals or SCT. I thought it was only Comenity. Maybe this is normal for them.

Call and ask. Smiley Happy

Re: Old Navy offered me card, then 7-10 message

Ive seen a few different posts where Synch offers a preapproval popup while shopping. I remember seeing one for Walmart.

From what ive seen 7-10 day for synch is mostly denial or occasionally a verification. I seem to remember Gap doing the popup thing a lil while ago.
