AKAIK, none of my Chase approvals have ever been instant. I never knew why. They always had to go through verification though they never asked for my license or anything.

All in favor of myFICO disallowing threads to start with the title of "[X lender] really sucks!!" say "I."

I mean...the title really isn't telling me what I might read and doesn't convince one to read further. Even worse, most of the time it isn't the lender's fault but somebody with misguided knowledge on what they're applying for...this OP however was the exception but still...

Well they explained why they wanted my license. it was for address verification. here is what they said.

they need to verify i live at my address and there are several ways to do it. fax or mail my info to them.

Utility bill, bank statement with my name plus a copy of my id.

Or if my address is listed correctly on my Driver license to just fax them that and that will suffice. which it is listed correctly. is why i simply faxed that.

I appears. if there is any hint you might not live at said address. then they want to verifiy. otherwise. you would have gotten instant approval. however. if you say you never had instant approval. i would be because you are at the same address. although you are known to them now. im hoping if yours were not instant. meaning your 2nd and 3rd. card. i would hope they did not ask you to verify each time.

Chase is literally next store to my office
And i am in there a few times a week making business deposits.

There have been an influx of people applying for cc's in the branch and bankers doing verification calls. I asked the girl who i talk to all the time at chase why so many people applying in the branch for cc's? She said who knows its kind of weird hahaha.

It is called freedom of expression.  I love Chase and always defend them but there is nothing wrong with OP's title. Maybe use the search button and you will see worse titles.  If  the title does not make you want to read the thread then don't read it IMO.
