On a roll, but will resist Ebates

Just got the preapproval email for ebates.  Just the regular platinum version 24.9% APR.  What are the differences between the two honestly?  You can still reach the same credit limits with either, correct?

I am going to hold off on this one for now since its after the holidays...and I also do pretty well buying gift cards online for 20-30% off and use doublecash to pay.  Also I want sync to give me the Sams MC upgrade lol.

This has been a strange few weeks for me, I have got 3 cards up to 15k, and now this ebates offer comes. Creepy!

I dunno, I would definitely get some use out of ebates... but honestly my reasons before to get one were easy access to awesome CLIs with a Visa by synchrony bank. I dont really need any more credit.

I will say I have seen folks get the preapproval, then after a few months pass they never get one again.  Also a preapproval is no guarantee either.  I have TWELVE inquiries on TU and I think 6 of them are set to fall off this year.

I think for my reports sake, I should wait until I have this crazy extra commerce bank card deleted from my file, if it is, then go for it by 2/28 when the preapproval expires.

I usually get $150-$200 from ebates payments.... but I think the 3% doesn't compare to the giftcardgranny deals paired with coupons, paid for by general spend card like qs or DC....

I can't tell the difference. You don't really need VS. if you don't plan to use outside. The Fandango movie websites didn't recognize the VS when I bought the ticket last year. Most people got over $10K for their Platinum by calling CS.

I remember the Signature Visa used to offer two tier of Aprs (both are high) one at 19.9% and the other at 24.9%. The standard platinum card has only one Tier, 24.99%.

I was approved for platinum Ebates earlier last year with a lower score than years, instant approval for 3,000.00 now its at 15,000.00.

I was approved for it a couple of months ago, with scores significantly lower than yours.

They pulled TU, btw.

Yeah, I got that fantastic 19.9% on mine.
