Opt-in Opt-Out

Well I guess this kind of relates to applications. So a long time ago I opted out for offers and lately I decided to opt back in. The first time I opted back in was about 6 months ago, I would regularly check the pre-qual pages and nothing ever pops up. During the past 6 months I opted in again for a total of about 5 times including the phone method. Well today I tried the pre-qual thing on Cap1 and what do you know, I had 3 pre-qual with a stated APR and the opt out notice on the bottom.

For those that opted in recently and nothing has showed up just try it a few more time and give it time. It took me 6 months to get back in.

Amex Platinum, Amex Hilton HHonors Surpass, Chase Southwest Premier, Chase Marriott Rewards Premier, Discover IT, Sony Visa, Barclay Arrival+ MC, Cabela Visa, Walmart SC, Amazon SC, Kohls, Diners Club Premier, PayPal Credit, PenFed Platinum Reward Visa, PenFed PLOC, Chase Ritz Carlton, Citi TY Premier, Amex BCP, Discover Miles, Care Credit, Blue Nile SC, iComfort SC, Cap1 Venture, Chase Hyatt, Lowes, US Bank Cash+, Citi Costco Visa

For some reason the 2 times that i had exercised my legal right to place a freeze on EXperian they sent me a letter stating that they had Opted me out for 5 years from preselected offers.

Both times after i had that freeze lifted i Opted In myself again by going to the Opt In/Out page and doing it myself. Then shortly thereafter i started getting results once again. I wish that they would stop doing that. I can Opt my own self out. Weird.

You must be one of the lucky ones where they get you back in fast, there are a number of us that for some strange reason takes them forever.

Re: Opt-in Opt-Out

mine took a few months before I saw anything from anyone.

Citi was first with every which product they had then I think I saw 1 cap1

On the other hand.. I have never seen evidence they Amex soft pulled me even once
anywhere but I was bombing their pre qual site all the time and it finally gave
me an offer (all products with AF mind you) .. so .. there seems to be somethig to that...

I still see no evidence anywhere or Amex SP.

Nope and it doesnt matter if you have you can optin even if you have not opted out there is no repurcussions from doing so.
