You know I just checked my report & noticed my account is blocked from promotions!!!  I had no idea.  So maybe Comenity likes me & I have no idea? Smiley Surprised

Yep.

You might want to be changing that so you can finally see what you're eligible for again.

Where did you find this information on your report and maybe a better question, where did you obtain your report?  Thanks

Re: Opt-in Opt-Out

Also... someone on here told me that while you are in credit repair, to opt OUT so creditors stop seeing your bad scores on promo SP's

I did this and FEEL like it worked but IDK.

I didnt like banks having a history of all my bad SPs.

Gdale any thoughts on this strategy?

Banks may do SP on you but I don't think they keep those SP for very long.

Amex Platinum, Amex Hilton HHonors Surpass, Chase Southwest Premier, Chase Marriott Rewards Premier, Discover IT, Sony Visa, Barclay Arrival+ MC, Cabela Visa, Walmart SC, Amazon SC, Kohls, Diners Club Premier, PayPal Credit, PenFed Platinum Reward Visa, PenFed PLOC, Chase Ritz Carlton, Citi TY Premier, Amex BCP, Discover Miles, Care Credit, Blue Nile SC, iComfort SC, Cap1 Venture, Chase Hyatt, Lowes, US Bank Cash+, Citi Costco Visa

I think the logic is backwards... Opt OUT during rebuilding because JDB's use the list. IE -- you burned a creditor, JDB is considering buying the debt. They SP you, see you are in a better position, buy the old debt, then try to collect.

Re: Opt-in Opt-Out

I used EQ since you can get your Fico anytime if you want for an additional 19.95.  I can look at my reports much better than The Fako Creditkarma.  And most of my HP's are on EQ.  Good for monitoring too.

Its not a bad thing while you are trying to get your CR cleaned up, it does stop promotional SPs and anyone else who is not a current creditor of yours. It also stops data miners from getting your info and I think that is the main reason for doing so.
