Orbitz Rewards Card- Further review is needed

I applied for an orbitz rewards card for my fiancee today. We are in need of a card for our upcoming trip to Denver in September. I received a message that the application needed further review and he would receive an approval status in 10 business days. Is this a denial??? This is a comenity bank card so I am thinking that they are wanting him to verify his identity

probably identity verification. When I applied for Orbitz card, went through same thing, they'll send a mail to have him call them, and they will ask him few questions and BAM! approved.

He's not alone, I hate the verification calls as well... but they can be quite rewarding!
