CreditFlunky put it this way. I doubt you have the experience due to your handle. If you had never been turned down, ever, then you'd know what it feels likes knowing what success was. Success does it for me. Maybe it will stop happening that way once I get turned down for something.
Congrats OP! I decided to give it a shot since there were a couple of items I had been looking at getting. I got the pop up but then was asked for full SS# after clicking "I'm interested" so it may be a HP? Either way, I was approved for 4K also!! I could not believe it!! Definitely not apping for anything else for a while.

Overstock always does that Full SSN thing but as long as you got the popup.... it's a softie.
Congrats to you too!
And for all you Overstockers, there's 12 months no financing on orders over $450. Remember to click the 12 months no interest financing option at checkout...it's off by default. Of course you have to pay monthly still but if you pay it off within 12 months, no interest charge. Kind of a nice perk.
Here's my story, maybe it can help you. I clear out cookies (browsing history) in my Google Chrome browser. I signed into an Overstock account I made previously. I place some fitted bed sheets into my shopping cart. Once I clicked "checkout" since my information is already stored, the popup comes up. If your information has not yet been stored because you have not signed up for an account, the popup comes after you fill in your street address and click "next" to go to the payment screen. I had to try 5 or 6 more times after declining the first popup. I finally got it to work again. Yes, this is the first store card I have seen Comenity ask for a full social security number, as well as ask for annual income. From all the threads I have read this is the typical Comenity soft pull. I have no idea which bureau they pull from. I have 5 cards with Visa and Mastercards attached so I basically did this as a way to increase my utilization. Looking at some 14k gold/peridot earrings and ring for my mother for Christmas. This is another $400 I can use and stay under 10% utilization.
@chalupaman wrote:Were you borderline with Barclays to begin with to the point where you had to recon for the card? I think that might put you at more risk of AA. So far, I've had a couple of new accounts report and my account with Barclays has remained open.
Barclays is not as sensitive as everyone says. Don't know why some get AA for apping new cards. Like popamode72 said. No problems. I've gotten 4 new cards since my barclays. And if they say a word. I will tell them where to go. I think the soft pulls most people see from barclays are for the free fico each month. In all honesty. I think most myfico members just paranoid. Almost obsessive to the whole credit thing. As another member told me. I fear no CCC. If they close. Then they are not worth my time. It's like a jealous gf. She loves you. But checks your phone soon as you are in shower. Ooh well. Gl.
