I walked in my local PNC branch yesterday to order a new debit card(mine is falling apart). On a whim I asked the branch manager what he thought my chances for a PNC credit card are with scores around 690 and 10 inquiries, banked with PNC for 4 years...he said good but not a sure shot, so we went ahead and app'd from his desk. He said they didn't make an instant decision, he'll call me when he hears the verdict. We shall see.
On a side note, I upgraded my debit card to a Cincinnati Reds debit card...$10 a year and it gives ticket and gift shop discounts. It would appear that BofA has the Major League Baseball credit card licensing deal, but NOT debit cards, so PNC is running with the debit cards.
So far I haven't heard a peep from PNC or the branch manager. I did, however, already get charged the $10 annual fee for the Reds debit card. We go to the ballgame maybe twice a year so I'll come out ahead a little bit on that front if nothing else.
Good luck! Sounds like your relationship score should be good though I'm not sure about the inq's. My guess is you'll hear back Tuesday or so.

Cincydavid,
When I applied for my PNC Visa, I didn't know it was approved until I saw it online in my Virtual Wallet.
PNC has been excellent to me since my bankruptcy in 2011. They gave me a great rate on my car loan and got a Visa. I think that's great for banking with an extremely conservative bank.
Hopefully you will get approved!

I'm sitting at 32% UTIL at the moment, until the next round of statements update, then it'll drop into the low 20s. Guess we'll see what happens.
So, here we are 12 calendar days later, not a peep from anyone. I don't use the PNC Wallet feature, my wife does, so no telling if my account would show up there...our checking/savings, etc are all joint accounts.
I feel like I'm back in 1985 trying to get my first CC, checking the mail every day for the card, or the denial letter. At this point I truly don't care one way or the other, just someone from PNC have the common courtesy to tell me what's going on.
On the phone with them now...transferred twice so far...
