@joeyv1985 I went throught a 13BK, burned them on one card and lost my platinum in the process. They forgave me this past Feb w/100 SUB after 5K spend. I was very suprised and grateful that they gave me another opportunity to carry the Platinum card, and they even backdated member since. I say go for it!

Are you saying that you were able to get signup bonus again for the Platinum card although you already held the card in the past?

There's fairly widespread speculation that in AMEX-SUB-land "lifetime" translates to "at some point after 7 years". It has been a little while since I've heard of an AMEX promo in the wild without lifetime language.

I briefly held personal Platinum in 2007, never received SUB, closed it in good standing. I am still getting the once in a lifetime language.
