No. You have to have a credit card or a loan to wave the fee.
If you're actually using the brokerage account, the free stock trades end up being worth almost 3x the monthly fee, even if you have to pay it for a whole year before you get the card. Plus you get a free path to transfer money into the brokerage account instead of paying $25 per ACH.
The CSR that approved me said they do review your account and they will regularly wave the fee, "just because". I'm not holding my breath, though.

Also, when you call tomorrow, be sure to go through US BankCorp customer service to get to US Bank customer service. That was the trick that finally got me past the geo fence.
I've never frozen any of my reports. I'll call them soon to see what's up
Congrats on getting that setup, good luck on the AR.

I'll be waiting 4-6 months before applying, to bring me to 1/12.

1/12 new accounts or inquires? Are they inquiry sensitive as well if no new cards?

Got my checking account set up...
Congrats!
There's no need for the Gold checking unless you actually want to use the Brokerage Account for real.
Without a credit product, the Gold costs $14.95/month.
You come out ahead with 100 free trades in the Brokerage Account ($180 in account fees vs $500 in trades means trade number 37 is discounted and number 38 is free), but if you're not actually going to be trading much, just move $105 into the Brokerage Account and buy $100 of T (or some other high div stock) with it and forget about it!

New accounts. On my AA letter, it was denied due to too many new accounts.

Thanks. Thank you for finding a work around! I wouldn't mind having the cash+, but I really just want the AR, so I wouldn't be putting much spend through the cash+ anyways
