I have been thinking for a long while now to apply for the PayPal credit line (not the credit card). Do they make a HP? If yes, what bureau is it usually? (I live in the Midwest) Also I remember from back in the day that people said that this credit line doesn't appear in your credit reports. Is that true?
Also, any other comments (pros/cons) that people would like to share?
Thanks!
PayPal Credit is now issued by Synchrony, so it will be a HP on TU. I'm pretty sure it will be a HP, but I've had mine for over 10 years and don't remember and back then it was issued by Comenity.
Yes, it's still a hidden "tradeline", they don't report it to any of the CRAs. Purchases over $99 get 6 months 0% accrued interest - "accrued" meaning if you pay it off within 6 months no interest, if you don't the interest is charged from date of purchase.Synchrony loves their high APRs, mine was 19.99% and when Synchrony took it over last summer they raised it to 25.99%, so don't fail to pay it off in time.
A minimum monthly payment of $27 is now required, may be higher for large purchases, I rarely do more than a couple hundred bucks at a time.
They pulled EQ a few months ago for DH

Interesting, I've never had Synchrony pull anything but TU for me and I have 4 accounts with them, but I got my PPCredit account in 2008 from Comenity.

Mine has Never Reported to any of the Big 3 CRA's.
I have had mine since the Dinosaur ages, I dont even remember them pulling a Credit Report.
only con is high interest & slow to post payment to Account.
Good 6 Promotion offers, just make sure you pay them off before they expire. or else I think they hit you with 26.99% interest.
FYI: I have got CLI's By Pushing over The SL

$435.08
A minimum payment applies to this purchase.
This is included in your monthly minimum payment due.
EQ would actually be great for me as I have 0 HP with them. With TU on the other hand I have 4-5, so that would hurt a bit.
