Hello,
I love to hear if anyone else has had to wait this long for an application approval. I applied online on the 15th and was pre approved and then accepted and was asked to upload my ID documents to their system and it kept giving me errors and they finally texted me to use a link to upload the doc and the link was broken they emailed it as well and that was broken. Finally I called and was told to upload my doc to their contact us page on the website. So I did. Then a couple days later thay emailed again saying they needed my Social Security card and again the link was broken so I did the same thing as before then called again to let them know. Now it's the 21st and still haven't got an answer and was last told on the 19th I'd hear in 24-48 hours. Still nothing?

I'd give it 3 more Bus. days ...then if you have'nt heard anything, call and speak to a rep.
Good Luck.
Usually the next day although obviously you are having issues.
Give them a call up and ask for a supervisor to get some traction and hopefully that will help you out.
I just want to add I went thru similar strife when I applied for both my Penfed cards, days of back and forth.
Penfed's website is a nightmare and has been a nightmare for years. You would imagine a cu as large as PF could find a decent IT to fix it up.

Thanks for your response. At least I don't feel like it's just me and not to expect it anytime soon! I finally called again today after no response since Sunday and the customer service rep told me it looks like they are waiting on an address verification now from me which I said they never requested. So here I go again uploading and waiting. I asked about expediting the process and she said "No they can't do anything about it with the ID verification that has to go through our fraud department". I also asked if once approved could they expedite the card and she again so NO it will take 7-10 days and you can't even get online access until you have the card in hand. OH Well, so much for trying to get things done. I think I'll apply for another 0% Balance transfer card just in case this doesn't work out. I never imagined applying for a cc would take as long as a mortgage app!

The good thing abouut Penfed cc's is they have revolving balance transfer offers. Both of my cards have a present offer, the 3rd offer for the PCR in 2 years and the 2nd offer on my Gold in less that 2 years, ymmv.
They don't always notify you that you have an offer, sometimes you have to call.
Honestly you might want to ask yourself if doing business with an institution having that many technical issues is something you want to bother with. My own personal rule of thumb is that the way a relationship starts out is the way it ends. I'm predicting at some point if you do open up an account with them that you'll be closing it because of technical issues.
I do have a pen fed account but not a credit card account just banking account. I don't really use it much. Haven't had that many technical issues with them but their app is nothing great and their website is even worse.. For example you can add external banks for transferring money on their app or web site but if you want to remove an external bank account you have to call them up and have them do it. I bank with probably 15 different institutions and not one of the others does this.
I'm not sure if I would bother with a credit card from them.
I had a pre-qualification, applied on the 14th, uploaded my two most recent pay stubs on the 16th. PenFed approved on the 18th and (after I called) told me to expect the card "ten business days" after the 18th. The PenFed website needs repair. It had FIVE applications listed for me.

A few months ago I hit the request credit limit increase button on my Gold card and was transported to an application for a business checking account, I don't have a business. Thats only the most recent glitch I had on their site, I've had many.
