PenFed Application -- Status = Almost Done

Three weeks ago I applied for a PenFed Platinum Rewards card; I was instantly approved, the card was received a week later, and I've already charged some $600+ on it.  Today I was on the PenFed site to see if I could figure out when my due date and statement dates will be and clicked on the "Applications" tab and whaddya suppose I saw?  Would you believe a status of "Almost Done"?

When I clicked on the "Continue" button I see this message:

What's next?

Kind of bizarre!

Chapter 13:

  • Burned: AMEX, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo, and South County Bank (now Bank of Southern California)
  • Filed: 26-Feb-2015
  • MoC: 01-Mar-2015
  • 1st Payment (posted): 23-Mar-2015
  • Last Payment (posted): 07-Feb-2020
  • Discharged: 04-Mar-2020
  • Closed: 23-Jun-2020

I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

I had the same thing for almost 2 months, I think it just takes them time to update.

Agree.  Some of my previous PenFed applications stayed in that loop for a month or so until the system updated the status.

When I got my first card with them, I had a similar experience and it stemmed from them wanting me to sign a form, confirming or providing the names of AU's on the account.  I didn't have one so had to complete this form, say NO to AU's and then sign and reupload to them.  If this is your first account...that "may" be it...but as @M_Smart007 said..."that's how they do it"

Re: PenFed Application -- Status = Almost Done

PenFed's system has been a bit strange ever since they changed their payment portal part of the website.

I obtained a new auto loan about a month ago and my application still shows pending yet I received the check for my car the next morning after applying.

I've already purchased my car, registered it, and have received my title back yet PenFed hasn't sent any info/documentation other than the actual check and a sheet inform the dealer of how to list them as a lien holder.

I've tried to access the Loan Document Center that used to be easy and housed all the info for recent approvals...it's inop and has been for quite some time now.

PenFed will eventually get it together...I hope.
