1. Where is the CLI request button or link?
2. How soon after account opening can I request a CLI?
3. HP or SP?
Thanks in advance!
If you are eligible to request one, on your main page where it shows your card, you click "more account info and actions"
As an FYI I did not have the option to request a credit line increase and then it appeared one day. I requested, was denied and it was a hard pull
It took 5/6 months before I saw the CLI button on the Penfed website. Definitely a hardpull. The option to do so is usually found under More account info and actions on the website.
CLI requests are a hard pull unless you have been extended a quarterly offer that includes a Credit Card offer that lists a card you already hold. If you've been extended an offer it would be listed online under the Offers frame along the right side of the main page.
If you accept an offer on a card you already hold (and it won't push the CL on that card over $25K) it would be processed as a SP CLI on your existing card. They wouldn't issue a 2nd card of the same type.
Took me a year to request one. It's a hard pull and once i was approved, I applied for another card. Approved with one HP
It took a year before it appeared for me. I didn't request one though since I got a 3rd card from them instead which put me at $47.5 total cl so it's not worth a HP for another $2500.

They did me. I thought I was going for a CLI on my (then $1.6k) Gold card. Ended up with a 2nd Gold card with a $6.5k limit. Cancelled that and never activated the card when it came in the mail. Applied for and was approved for a Platinum ($5k) then a PCR ($5k), then asked on the phone for a CLI on that Gold and got it upped to $6.5k. The second Gold card still shows on my report as a closed account.
