Hi All!
I have a PenFed Credit Card and would like to hear your experiences regarding CLIs on PenFed CCs. I have read that it will be a hard pull. I know NFCU's system is very well known and specific, but I would like to know if anyone knows PenFed's "system" that helps ensure the highest credit limit increase possible.
Thank you!
There isn't anything specific for PenFed's "system" that would yield the highest CLI unlike NFCU -- it's like comparing apples to oranges. For PenFed, it's profile dependent on the amount of the CLI you can be approved. It's not limited to $8K as it is currently with NFCU.

@FinStar Ok. Thank you!
I started with a very low limit, $1,500, but I put a ton of spend on the card every month. I paid every day as charges were processed and was able to spend $6,000 a month or more each month. Once I passed the 6 month anniversary of the card being issued I requested a CLI and they instantly approved me to $25,000. My scores were in the high 700s to low 800s.

@bilwilvegas Thank you for sharing your experience.
My own experience is a bit dated but about a year after I picked up my PCR I got a quarterly offer for my choice of cards with an $11.5K SL; I selected a PCR and as per their standard practice instead of issuing me a 2nd PCR the $11.5K was applied as a SP CLI to my existing card.

Thank you for your post! I was just about to tell PenFed to shove their low-limit offer after they pulled my EQ 804 FICO with ZERO utilization, $66K income, ZERO negs and offered a $1,500 limit. Just days ago, a Barclays JetBlue Plus app gave me $13K on a lesser pull (TU 767). Now that I see they did the same thing to you and how you gamed them to get a good limit, I'll keep the card and do the same. Thanks!
