PenFed Membership Approval

I have seen so many PenFed membership approvals that state they received a HP for membership, however after the 5 minute application process and the $5.00 minimum opening fee was paid, I had access to my account. I called the CSR and they said that my membership did not result in a HP.

Have the rules changed, or is the HP for those who are required to make donations to join? I am confused.

Its a HP for opening Saving account meaning membership

Guessing the CSR was mininformed as if you check your EQ report I pretty much can gurantee you that you will see a HP if so mise well apply for some credit products using the same hp

Pull your Credit report from one of the free sites being Credit Karma or Quizzle as they both show EQ and see if you see a HP on your report from Penfed which you should

Here lies the problem with doing that. Due to OPM being hacked last June I have no access to those sites due to me residing in a foreign country. I will have to wait and see if it hits and MYFICO reports the HP if it took place.

Interesting didn't know OPM was hacked...  99% gurantee it was a HP though..Once you find out for sure it was you have 60-90 days to apply for a CC.. Sooner the better, just confirm inddep you did get the HP prior as assuming that is your goal to get a CC without an additional HP?

Well its isnt my goal to get a CC with PenFed. I am more interested in opening a checking account right now for international transfers. However if I receive an Alert on MYFICO I will apply anyway.
Yes OPM was hacked, I received a letter in August from them stating my photos, fingerprints and personal data to include SSN was compromised. I received 3 years of identity protection in return. (What a joke)

I got an HP on EQ when I opened a savings account, just a few days ago.
