I am interested in applying for the PenFed PLOC. I just got approved for the Promise card today with a $5000 limit at 13.99%. See my signature for card details.
Will they pull a second HP for this? Odds of approval?
I've got the cards listed in my signature, as well as a $14,000 auto loan at 8.45% that I got in October 2016 and a personal loan of $11,700 that I got recently (personal problems that led to debt).
If you just got approved for the Promise, it shouldn't be another HP for you to apply for the PLOC. I would suggest calling in and talking with them when applying and ask to make sure that the same HP can be used.
PenFed HPs are typically good for at least 30 days for any additional products. I've read different comments about it not being 90 days anymore, but you should be good for at least 30

1. No they will use the same HP.
2. I think you're probably borderline for approval but since there's no HP I guess there's no harm trying.

Be careful. When I was new and got the promise, I apped for the PLOC around 55 days and got a 2nd pull.

I'd call and see about refinancing that auto loan before trying for their LOC. But whatever you end up doing just call and speak with them. They are very friendly and helpful and will let you know if a new pull is required.
I think I will go with Spartan. I need to request a few CLIs on some other cards I have and so don't want to risk another hard pull yet. The rep told me that the same hard pull is used for 90 days but there is a very small chance another one would be pulled, so I will wait about 80 days and then see about refininacing my car.
Thanks for all the advice. ![]()
