Has anyone applied for a PenFed card recently and had it go under review? I'm being impatient, just wanted to see about how long it's taking them these days to review.
Review timeframes can vary from 24-72 hours at minimum. Some can take a bit longer. You can reach out to them to see whether additional information is required with your application (be aware of longer hold times these days) or just sit tight until a decision is made.
Here is my recent experience with them. Applied for a personal loan early Monday morning. Went through review as they needed various docs such as ID, SSN, POI. Uploaded documents a couple of hours later. Didn't get much through Monday during the day. So after checking the application status a few times, it seems like my documents were accepted except they were still needing POI. So I had to re-submit that info again. No other status for Monday. Today on Tuesday, I checked the status and then sent them an email asking for status as it looked to me they were still needing POI uploaded. I got a reply stating that applications can take 24 to 72 business hours to review and that they currently have an application volume that is higher than normal. 5 minutes after recieving that message, I got an email that my personal loan was approved.
So...after reading a few threads on PenFed. I applied for their Visa Gold, I was thinking they would just use the same pull as my personal loan, but I immediately got a notification that I got an inquiry hit. Ugh. Application is now under review. So will play the waiting game again.

Congrats on your loan approval. Good Luck on your Penfed Gold application.
Yes, my app was under review for about 24 hrs due to a fraud alert on my credit profile. I then received a call from Pendfed to verify my identity and confirm that the application was legitimate. Thirty seconds later, I was approved.
@Datx congratulations on your approval! Thanks for the info as well. It's only been 24 hours for me so I guess I still have a chance lol Good luck on your Gold Visa Application

Congratulations on your approval!!
Thanks for posting. Hope you got approved. Did you? Also, I noticed you didn't provide any DPs (data points) surrounding your application. Any DPs to share? Much appreciated.
