I was a member for years but included them in my 13 in 2017 (DC in January 2021 but mine was a 100 percent plan if that makes a difference . Apparently, they did not close my savings account with them, and I get offers periodically.
I logged in and it pre-filled the form with my information. I updated income and housing status. It came back that I am Pre-qualed for a Cash Rewards Visa Signature with a possible $10,000 CL.
I know pre-qualed is not pre-approved, but, frankly, I am surprised it came back with anything.
I can't find it. Besides, it's not like they like my profile anyways (they really seem to hate my AAoA)
Just got back home again and tried again and the prequal link is gone logged in or not.

Yep it's gone, wow
They were kind enough to tell me I am at max exposure. And sent a nice email which I couldn't open due to the weird file extension. Apparently they are not moving very far into the modern era after all.
Dang, I just joined them a few months ago. I've been hesitant about applying for one of their cards, as I'm still fixing some stuff on my reports. But they did give me a personal loan. They offer preapprovals for loans. Hope the card preapprovals come back when I'm ready to check.

Probably just testing it. It will be back I'm sure.

I hope so. I'd hate to waste another HP just to get denied.
**bleep**, that was too quick, I saw this original post and by the time I checked the website it was already decommissioned. Hopefully it comes back like another poster said. I think prequalifications are a thin files best friend and getting into PenFed with their easier to increase limits would probably help my credit growth go by quicker.
The related code was probably deliberately deployed for several hours as part of a planned operational test and then backed out once the tests had been completed, or they deployed and quickly discovered a flaw significant enough to warrant a backing out. I'm sure that once their evaluation has been completed and the lessons learned are adequately addressed the feature will be brought back.
I just hope that right out of the gate its usefulness is a lot more like the AMEX preapproval tool than that of the NFCU prequalifier.
