Well as stated it was live when OP posted and I checked it out for the PCR. Said I was pre qualified estimated 15k and had a finalize application button. I'm not looking for any new credit so I just closed out. I went in today under 'application' tab and there was my application showing a green check 'quailfied' and the continue button. 🙂 So I expect the usual reminder emails and a courtesy call to nudge me to complete the app. But as I said, I'm in the garden and not looking for a new credit card. It's always fun to look.🎉🎉🎉
@drboxing It was live twice for a very short time and rife with problems. Not currently available.

Also unreliable as I mentioned in the other thread.
I was given 2x prequals for $3500 each for the Plat and Cash Rewards and was told by the rep who called me after a week of their horrible website giving errors "I'm not sure why you were given that prequal because we don't prequal credit cards" as if the prequal link never existed... and then denied me for both apps with a 693 EQ9.
LOL
Just an overall garbage experience dealing with them and their garbage website. If I didn't already have the Gold card I'd be closing my accounts. I've been with NFCU for about 2 weeks and just their website experience alone is worth giving the middle finger to PenFed.
You still have to be a member. If you hit not a member button it'll tell you that will submit your application and you'll become a member in the process.
Yeah it's not working for me either. Member or no member.
I just tried it and they offered 17.99%. Erm, is this good? This seems kinda high to me?
ETA: I got a pre qulified offer in the mail. I Googled PenFed prequalify and entered my Access code.
@user979797 wrote:PenFed has been updating their site recently and today I noticed that you can now pre qualify (non members or members) on their credit card website without affecting your credit score (soft pull). I tried it out but it's not working yet. Hopefully it will be soon but wanted to share with everyone

What card did you try for/get offered? If it was for anything other than the Gold card, the lowest APR on all the rest is only 16.49%, so the 17.99%, though it's the max, isn't that much of a difference.
