So you were approved (congrats) and they're shipping the card to the address listed on your app? And you would like to change the shipping address to your current location? Is that correct? If so, that's fairly standard security practice. Most, if not all, lenders will only ship new/updated cards to the verified address on file as a means of theft/fraud prevention.

I'm completely confused about the following in your post @Anonymous:
1. What was declined? The address change or the application for an account?
2. Was the call futile or the application?
3. Did you need to (raise) 'up' your address or update it?
4. Did you need the card shipped to where you are (out of town) or did you mean that you wanted it shipped faster (to the account address)?
5. Why does anything involved in your relationship with PenFed rise to the level of "hate"?
Most of these questions are rhetorical. My core point is - without the intent of picking on you - that this board is full of people who can help and give advice and data points that can help with making credit decisions. But that needs a clear starting point, and I don't think it's clear at all what your point was.
