Penfed Recon Successes?

I joined Penfed recently, probably jumped the gun because I have read how strict they are. I was denied for a Promise Visa, and have currently been in the process of having the reasons they denied removed from my credit reports. I'm sure I will just have to keep working on lowering my balances and utilization for awhile before I actually have a shot at approval.

But I was curious what some of the reasons that they have done recons for. Has anyone been denied and had success with a recon? If so what did you put in your letter or call? Has anyone asked for a recon and been denied? All experiences welcome!!

I have read that some forum members have successfully reconned. There are some threads here and there about it. I am sure someone will respond to your post.

Can you give an idea of your scores as that would give an indication of your chances at recon?

And the reason(s) for denial.

I had 3 denials successfully reconned, including an Egyptian accusation. Rewards, PLOC & auto loan. They've been very flexible for me.

Oh my scores are TU 572, EQ 536, and EX 566. I know they aren't high enough for a recon approval. Although I have recently (today) had my only collections account removed from my reports so hopefully that will help.

I was just wondering what reasons they do accept recons for and what things they are very timid against.
