Interested in Penfed and DCU
For Penfed and DCU, I have read they pull your credit when you signup for membership. Do these CU's both pull Equifax, and is it a softpull or hardpull?
I wanted BT offers on credit cards as well as PLOC to increase my credit profile.
Do they give high limits with a good score or are they stingy?
my highest card is 30k
Can't speak for DCU but PenFed pulls EQ and the pull for membership is good for 90 days if you decide to apply for any of their credit products, at least it was when I apped, someone will correct that if it's wrong. PenFed has been very generous lately, they are getting a little less conservative in order to become more competitive and gain more customers. I would give serious consideration to PenFed if I were you. Good Luck.
Thanks for the reply. I will apply as soon as my new balances report. Excited. Do you think I should go for the PLOC first or the CC? Also, when I become a member, what do I do first? Do I need a checking to get the PLOC? tell me the steps please
For DCU...
I have car loan, checking, savings and their CC.
They will HP EQ. The HP is good for 45 days. They also do a chexsystems check as well.
My EQ when pulled was 730 and I got a refinance at 1.74% and the Platinum 10K SL at 8.75.
