Thanks ML.
I just thought it would be nice to have one thread to gather all the Penfed data instead of members having to search different threads.

Sweet!
Reading through this thread has me so tempted to leave the garden, I'm at 9 months currently.
I haven't checked my EQ in months but I believe it's somewhere around 680-690. 22 INQ's though three fall off this month, they may be gone already. I have five inquiries in the past 12 months and four new accounts in that time.
Overall utilization is around 30 percent, but three cards are over 70 percent. I have one negative, a settled Wells Fargo auto loan, from July of 2010.
I'd like to transfer about 7k so I'd really only want to apply if I could get a 10k limit. I'd be fine with the Platinum Rewards, Promise, or Cash Rewards.
Should I even bother?

You are definitely in the strike zone. Only 4 new accounts in past yr. 680+ fico. One older baddie. The only concerning part is the 3 accounts over 70%. But I'm sure you could explain that if need be. Platinum Rewards I know has 0% bt for 12 months. Promise is 4.99% for 12 months. Not sure about Cash Rewards. I say it's worth a shot.
So I just was approved for membership, I guess, I was given an account number. Do people usually get approved for a card if they're approved for membership or are their UW requirements much more strict for their cards?
