Re: Pentagon Federal Credit Union Data Share

I got this email from Penfed. Hopefully it a mistake.

Thank you for contacting PenFed.

PenFed still provides an update of the FICO score each quarter.

Some members, such as yourself, will see their update posted later in the month
depending on your statement cycle date.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you need further assistance, please contact us.

Well if that's true than they have changed policy. They have usually posted on the 1st of the month of every quarter.

I know. I've always gotten in on the morning of the 1st of every quarter. Just a couple of days ago, a phone CSR told be they were doing some updates and that in should be available within a week. I hope she was right.

I have to mention one thing. The banner has always been visible right up until the moment of the new score being posted. So, something is going on.

If you don't mind me asking...I know you listed you income of $22k and your utilization is at 25%.  What is your total available credit?  Wondering if it's 25% of available credit (in relation to income) that may have them a bit spooked.  If your total available credit is high then 25% shouldn't be a big deal for them...but if it's 25% of a relatively small amount then I could see that bothering them a bit.  Short of that I don't really understand why you weren't even given a chance with the Promise card.

I am really sorry to hear that jrenae. Did you try to call and speak to someone and voice your disappointment? Our members have had great success actually talking to someone and explaining their situations.

Re: Pentagon Federal Credit Union Data Share

Although this isn't the Auto Loan forum...however, being it's a Penfed thread with the Penfed guru behind the wheel...May I ask if auto loans are easier or harder to get then credit cards with Penfed? One of the main reasons I joined was there attractive auto rates. I have 2 loans with DCU at 5.49%. I would like to move 1 to Penfed. Now that I have finally gotten approved for the Promise, is this a good time to try to refinance? They quoted my EQ score at 646 on my Promise app. Any chance I could get a better rate? Thanks!
