Joe81815, the limit is $500. My FICO9 as of 4/10 is 683. I use about $440 of the card every month and then pay it off before the statement cuts. I just hate making multiple payments on the same card when I have card with higher limits. What's your income? Any derogatory items (bankruptcies, chargeoffs, etc.) on your report? Do you have any other cards and/or installment loans? With your score and the fact that you use your card quite actively and PIF every month, I'm pretty sure there's something else going on that's keeping you from getting a better CL on that card.
oh and my income is $95,000.

I have a paid charge off. $450 was charged off at the end of my auto loan in 2015. (Rookie mistake) I also have old student loan lates. I had this when I was approved. Do you think that is it?
Yes, the derogs will hold you back until they age. That's the reason you haven't seen an increase. Only time can make them go away now. It will eventually happen and you'll be untethered.
@Anonymous wrote:@Anonymous @Tazman81 for all the info I will definitely call and apply for a increase around day 88 or so. I plan or running alot threw this card in this short period of time and make multiple payments. Ive read that with new members there is a 10 day hold on credit card payments until after you reach the 6 months mark I was wondering is there any way around this? I was thinking if I went into a Penfed Branch and made a cash payment to the card, or if that still doest work and there is no way around the 10 day hold If I over pay the credit card threw bill pay from a outside Account (I realize there will still be the 10 day hold) but my question is after the hold will I have a tempoary higher credit limit until I make purchases with the card to balance back out?
Yes, you are correct. For new members there is a 10 day hold on releasing your available credit after a credit card payment is made. It does not matter where the payment comes from, that hold on releasing your credit is still there. If you overpay, it does not increase your available credit. This was a bit of a challenge at first, but if you know when your charges will typically happen, you can send a payment ahead of time. This is what I did during this time period. At least for me, it wasn't so bad having to do this, although I am happy I've had my account long enough for the training wheels to be removed.

My wife got a 24 hours message on the membership application (not even applying for any kind of card or anything). But then never heard back and hadn't gotten around to calling yet.
That was 17 days ago and then today we got a welcome thing in the mail with her membership number and a signature card for her to mail back.
We mailed that in, but went ahead and set her up with an online account and she applied for the "PenFed Power Cash Rewards VISA Signature® Card" and was approved for what is now by FAR the highest limit card she has (in fact, higher than any other two cards added together, I think).
Product(s) approved and Limit - Power Cash Rewards Visa, $9500 SL
EQ 08 Fico: I don't see her recent EQ in our spreadsheet, but I think it was 669 - EX is 668 and TU 650
Instant or Review?: Review on the membership and instant approval for the card itself! Was wondering if it was even worth it with not having a higher credit score and then getting a review on the membership - surely if the membership wasn't instant the card wouldn't go through at all... but we were wrong.
POI? Nope
AAOA: I think it was about 1.5 years

We're very excited to see her getting approved for better cards, it's been a long road. I think if her Cap 1 secured card with a $600 SL doesn't graduate in the next couple of months it's getting cancelled. We were already considering it but getting that $9500 SL Visa from PenFed kinda seals the deal.
Now if I can just keep getting mine up... I've got more baddies to deal with than she did so I'm a bit behind her. It'll come in time though ![]()
Congrats on the membership and approval of the PCR, that's a nice SL!

Thanks! We were both definitely excited - and more than the limit itself (because, let's be honest, where we are financially that's a big enough limit that if we got anywhere close to it we've got a problem again) we're encouraged by what it means that we've made enough progress for her to be able to get a limit big enough that we hope to never need it.
On a different note, I came back to update the post and say that we got a letter from PenFed stating her EQ score is 710, but it also says "Scores range from a low of 150 to a high of 950."
I was under the impression that both Fico 8 and 9 go to 850, so is this some non-Fico score?
On the same day, got a letter from Sprint saying her proprietary Experian score is 891 lol...
